Work in Progress: Plöner See

The painting is now at its decisive stage. The water at the distant shore is pretty greyish and I need to apply a smooth transition to the foreground.
I was lucky to take a snapshot when a photographer asked me to steer his boat. The sailing boats were out there for some promotional photos and were manned with sailing instructors from the Segelschule Plön.

Another Honourable Mention

Ich freue mich über die nächste Auszeichnung bei der Pastel Guild of Europe. Ich arbeite gerade fieberhaft an der Fertigstellung meines Ateliers, deswegen bleibt gerade nicht viel Zeit zum Malen.

Wunderschön geschnittene Mahagoniboote mit Klinkerbeplankung lassen sich noch am Plöner See in der Holsteinischen Schweiz finden. Die Boote liegen in der Segelschule Plön und werden tatsächlich noch zu Schulungszwecken genutzt.
Hier habe ich als Kind das Segeln gelernt und dann alle meine Ferien verbracht.
