Summer Afternoon

Doing some small sketches and a commission this is my next painting. I was fascinated by the sparkle of the water and hope you like the moment I tried to catch.

Work in Progress: Plöner See

The painting is now at its decisive stage. The water at the distant shore is pretty greyish and I need to apply a smooth transition to the foreground.
I was lucky to take a snapshot when a photographer asked me to steer his boat. The sailing boats were out there for some promotional photos and were manned with sailing instructors from the Segelschule Plön.
